The need to take action

In recent years, environmental care has taken a leading role in all spheres of society. The society has noticed changes in the weather, wondering the origin and possible solutions. Thus, the human gradually understands that we are part of nature, we are one more specie, and has endangered the very existence of humanity. Much of the problem was caused by trying to achieve economic growth among nations throughout history, and never realized that nature has a limit, and the pace of life that we’ve been having could become impossible for future generations to sustain.
The topic of climate change has great debates and has even come to question if it is a political game to cause panic in the population. However, we can not deny what has been done and everybody can see. The "natural" disasters are not so natural, the human has accelerated and altered all the processes that allow Earth to regenerate itself as it did for millions of years. Economic growth since the Industrial Revolution would not allow us to return to a state of metabolism like all other species, where we only consume and discard as necessary, with the development of the human all the elements of nature were valued economically.
Change is necessary, but it’s not about a radical change in our habits, but only modify some actions whether they are large or small, to allow the Earth to have a "breath”. However, for this are necessary commitments from governments for these changes to be reflected in policies that benefit all and gradually recover what we still have and do not allow the destruction of the nature of which we are part.
From all levels of society, activities have being done to reduce ecological impact compared to a few decades. It may seem that international meetings achieve nothing, that are only political speeches and in the end there’s nothing in practice.
We have to think it is rather difficult to match in a single agreement all the opinions of countries involved, especially those areas, which would have to stop their production, and apparently, it’s economic growth. Perhaps, the actions are too slow compared to the urgency that climate change need, but at least something is being done and more and more population is becoming involved in taking care of the environment, as with non-governmental organizations, which from the first meetings of Climate Change have influenced decision making.
So, as a society we must encourage, by any means, environmental awareness, if only by example, and be aware of what happens in international meetings and the participation of civil society in them. It's not complicated, it is important to express one’s view and be involved in a situation that affects us all or that at some point will affect us.
